Obey clothing was founded in 2001 by street artist and illustrator Shepard Fairey. The brand is well known for incorporating politically and socially provocative propaganda. Based off the success of a Andre the Giant sticker Fairey designed while in art school in Maine the Obey has always drawn from pop culture to push political and artistic boundaries.
